The working principle and installation method of axial fan

Axial fans are widely used in various industrial occasions, and they are one of the most widely used fans. The shape of the axial flow fan is a bit like an electric fan, with a central shaft, and four fan blades will follow this central shaft to rotate to form an axial flow fan. Because of the fluidity of this fan gas, it is suitable for use in places where the pressure is relatively low. Let's take a look at it in detail below.

Ordinary axial flow fans can be used for ventilation in general factories, warehouses, offices, houses, etc., and can also be used for air coolers (air coolers), evaporators, condensers, spray droplets, etc., and there are also Axial flow fans for mines, anti-corrosion and explosion-proof axial flow fans adopt anti-corrosion materials and explosion-proof measures, and match explosion-proof motors. They can be used to transport explosive, volatile, and corrosive gases. The gas delivered by the axial flow fan should not be significant. Dust, non-sticky and fibrous materials; the temperature of the motor direct connection type does not exceed 40℃, and the temperature of the belt drive type does not exceed 60℃.

The amount of dust in the conveying gas shall not exceed 150mg/m3. The axial flow fan is mainly composed of impeller, casing, motor and other parts, and the bracket is connected with the casing air duct by means of steel. The impeller and casing of the anti-corrosion axial flow fan are all made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, and other axial flow fans are generally made of steel plate.

When the impeller rotates, the gas enters the impeller axially from the air inlet, and is pushed by the blades on the impeller to increase the energy of the gas, and then flows into the guide vanes. The guide vane changes the deflected airflow into an axial flow, and at the same time introduces the gas into the diffuser tube, further converts the kinetic energy of the gas into pressure energy, and finally introduces it into the working pipeline. The blades of an axial flow fan work similarly to the wings of an airplane. However, the latter applies lift upwards on the wings and supports the weight of the aircraft, while the axial flow fan fixes the position and moves the air. The cross section of an axial fan is generally a wing section.

The blade can be fixed in position, or it can rotate around its longitudinal axis. The angle between the blades and the airflow or the distance between the blades may not be adjustable or adjustable. Changing the blade angle or pitch is one of the main advantages of axial fans. A small blade pitch angle produces a lower flow rate, while increasing the pitch can produce a higher flow rate. Advanced axial flow fans can change the blade pitch while the fan is running (this is quite similar to a helicopter rotor), thereby changing the flow accordingly. This is called a variable blade (VP) axial fan.

Preparation work: Open the box and check whether all parts of the fan are complete, whether there are any bumps on the outside of the casing, pay special attention to whether the head rectifier is bumped or deformed, whether the components are tightly connected, whether the blade motor is damaged, whether the impeller is rotating Flexible, if problems are found, they should be repaired and adjusted. Check the installation foundation of the fan. It must have sufficient strength and rigidity to ensure that it can withstand the load during the operation of the fan. At the same time, check whether the connection size between the foundation and the fan meets the design requirements.

Installation matters. The horizontal installation of the fan is to fix the shock absorber to the fan base by connecting bolts, adjust the level of each shock absorber with the center height adjustment pad, and fix the fan to the connecting steel plate welded on the foundation with fixing bolts, such as The fan does not need a shock absorber due to anti-vibration and other reasons, just connect the screw holes on the fan base and the embedded bolts directly on the foundation. The basic requirements for side wall horizontal installation fan installation are the same as horizontal installation, except that the mounting bracket is made of inclined arm support, and the bracket must have sufficient strength and rigidity. This type of installation is not suitable for fans above 10#.

For suspension installation, first connect the shock absorber and the fan with bolts. The shock absorber is installed symmetrically and arranged on both sides of the center of gravity of the fan. The fan is directly lifted and inserted into the suspension bracket. The height of the suspension bracket depends on the actual space. The distance is determined by the user, and this type of installation is generally not adopted for fans above 16#. Vertical installation The vertical installation method of the fan is the same as the horizontal installation, and the requirements for the strength and rigidity of the fan foundation are more stringent. The connection between the fan and the pipes at both ends must use flexible joints to isolate vibration and protect the fan.

Today, I introduced you to the definition, working principle, installation method and installation matters of the axial flow fan. Do you understand? Axial fan is the most widely used fan in industrial sites. The gas flow of axial fan is parallel to the central axis, so this fan is not suitable for use in places with high pressure and low flow. Regardless of the simple structure of this fan, its installation requirements are very high.
